    Would Access do the job?

I'm trying to find the best way to store data and create a report, but I have not had any experience with Access in 10+ years. I am totally lost. I thought I would explain what I'd like to do to see if Access would even be the route to go.

I work at a residential treatment center. I keep chronological reports for each resident on my caseload which include a variety of info (incident reports, weekly level, visits, etc). I was thinking if I could create and update (usually daily) this info in Access, that I could then create a report regarding the info at the end of each month that could be printed out and filed.

Would Access be the best program for doing something like this?

    Thanks in advance!

Very generalized question so the answer is likewise.

Yes, Access or any relational database application can be used for this data management. Is Access the best - matter of opinion and other criteria.

Thank you for the response. I'm sorry for the generalized question. I am so unfamiliar with Access that I wasn't sure how to really ask the question to begin with. I'm going to have to do a lot of learning about Access to complete the task. I didn't want to go forward with all that and then find that the end result is not what I was looking for.

    I appreciate your help!
