    Field Editing

Received from somebody a Query :In a Column , I have a list of people: First name and last name: All the last names are in UPPER CASE. I'd like to reverse the layout :

NAME First name. and eventually Sort Ascending
While I am a MS Office user, I am not that familiar with Acces, and my book does not help me in that particular situation.
Any specific guides will help. Here is a sample that I want to work on. In column "Nom" I want to move "CASSARD" to the front of First name. What command? can I possibly use in the entire column. Any reference to the guide book is appreciated.
If permitted, advise me by e-mail of any replies. Rlbance@aol.com
    Thanks.
    Bob.

This issue has been discussed in numerous threads. Because names have no consistent structure, it is very difficult to programmatically correct this sort of data.

How would code know that Oscar De La Hoya last name has 3 parts? And Maria Von Trapp has two?
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
