Make a gradebook

I am pretty new to Access. I took some courses about 8 or 10 years ago. I want to make a gradebook database with a assignment entry form that I can put which subject or class. This needs to populate a subform with the students that are enrolled in that class so I can enter the correct grades for them. I'm not sure if I can describe it better. I need some direction how to set this form up. Any direction on the database as a whole would be appreciated.
