    Field Display Format

I have three fields in a database that are phone numbers. One of the fields displays as a phone number in the datasheet view, but displays as a 10-digit number in the form view. The other two display as a 10-digit number all the time.

I went into the design view and entered a mask for the fields, but that didn't change anything.

Do they all include the area code prefix in the data?

By mask do you mean InputMask or Format structure?

Show the settings of both properties.

Yes... They are all 10-digits (xxx)xxx-xxxx

    InputMask... Where is format structure?

I'm a novice... How do I show the settings of both properties?

Format property is on Format tab of Properties Sheet.

Just copy/paste the text in the property to post.

I apologize for being dense, but the only thing I can find on "property sheet" is under queries...

Just discovered if I put the cursor in the fields (all three), I see the InputMask for the phone number on the datasheet view.

Form in design view, select a textbox control. Open Property Sheet. Should see 5 tabs - Format, Data, Event, Other, All.

If you want the format field (top of the list with a dropdown arrow), that field is blank.

    Format property is blank.

Very odd issue. No idea what's causing it.

If you want to provide db for analysis, follow instructions at bottom of my post.
