    Creating a Search Form

    Hello everyone,

I want to create a Search Form. There will be a textbox such that when I type a keyword in it and hit a “Search” button, it will give me a list of Report No.’s of records that have any field that contains the keyword entered in the textbox. Then when I click on any one item on the list, it will reveal the form in details, whose design is exactly the same as the “TeledyneForm” that I created.
I am an Access newbie, so it would be great if anyone could give me step-by-step instructions. I attached the Access file so that you guys can have a look.

Someone pointed out that I should not have cross-posted. My apology, everyone.

Forum participants are only upset with cross posting when you don't tell us that you have done so.
Simply show the link of the cross post; tell us what you've done, and it would be nice if you marked it solved when that happens on whatever forum.

As for the search, take a look at this sample

    Good luck.

    And another http://www.allenbrowne.com/ser-62.html

Or a dynamic parameterized query might be preferable http://www.datapigtechnologies.com/f...mtoreport.html

Apply the same wildcard criteria under each field you want.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
