    Problem when trying to install the ActiveX - Snapshot Viewer

    Dear friends of the forum greet you,

    I am having a problem with the installation of ActiveX - Snapshot Viewer of microsoft. Trying to do the installation of this ActiveX on a computer with Windows8 and Office 2013 i'm getting the following message:

    32autole.dll was unable to register itself in the system registry

    After all that, when trying to activate the relevant ActiveX through the referenses of Vba i cannot find it. Could someone help me;

    Thanks in advanced

    I do all of my referencing via the VBA editor. If you open the References window via Tools>References (from within the VBA editor), do you see the application you desire in the list of available references?

    There is a way to register Active X controls via a Wizard but not remembering how right now. You can also check to make sure the dll file exists on your machine by doing a search. Make sure to include system files in your search.

    Hi ItsMe.

    Thank you very much for your info, but regarding your question
    do you see the application you desire in the list of available references?

    if you mean the Snapshot Viewer, No i cannot see it but this is normal because when trying to install this activeX taking the message that cannot itself to go to dll

    But i thing the problem is most serious because in order to understand what i can do in order to find solution, also i tried to open some others access 2007 files and when opening i'm taking the following error

    What is it you are trying to accomplish with this Active X control? Are you trying to preview a report within an Access form or something?

    Well, my question was with regard to your original problem with the report.

    If you are commenting on the second problem, it is probably associated with a Macro you created in a version of Access that is previous to 2013. Macros are not always compatible across different versions of access (even backward compatibility issues can arise).
