Can start with the Access import/link wizard.

If the Excel file needs to be normalized into multiple tables, need to first identify the data elements how they relate. What is the data in the Excel file?
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

Note: If you plan on repeating this over and over...I use this method:
    1. save the excel file to a generic name.
    2. link the excel file as a table
    3. a query to import the excel file...ie. qaImportXL.
Now every time you get a new Excel file...1. over write the generic filename, 2. run import query. Done.

Why would you link to a file when you could just use VBA to call a saved import procedure? Doesn't linking create write issues to the Excel file?
