    Is V-tools safe?

Hi, I'm looking at changing the name of a table which is connected to a number of differnt queries. I understand Accessdoesn't have the ability to update the queries automatically if I change the table name, but that the V-tools add in can. I've also run into things blowing up if I change the name of a field.

But before I put this add-in into my computer, I want to make sure I won't have malware/worse that I'm loading onto my computer. Can anyone verify that they've had V-tools for quite some time, or can simply verify that there isn't anything malicious in their stuff? thx

Actually, access can change the name of table referenced in query. Also field name changes will be reflected. Except when used in an expression, then Access falls down on the job. EDIT: just did a test and even fields referenced in expressions were changed - maybe this is an enhancement.

V-tools has been discussed in forum. Search topic: vtools

    It has positive comments.

I use Rick Fishers Find & Replace.

Does it change the name of the table automatically? Or is there a command you have to use? Tell me more about Rick Fisher's . . .

Rick Fisher's program will do replace if you ask it to. http://www.rickworld.com/

It saved my sanity more than once. It was worth the $50.

The add-in does just what its name suggests: Find/Replace - anything (except data) anywhere in db.

Having probs getting Rick Fisher to install. I'm the admin on the computer and tried to run it specifically as admin. No luck. Maybe tomorrow it will work . . .
