New to Access, questions on use and application

    Hello,

I'm new to access and have an application question. I'm in healthcare and my facility wants me to track employee wellness testing.(approx 400 lives) That would include keeping track of lab values, height, weight, etc on each employee. I would also need to be able to report on weight loss for each individual as well as the entire population. Also averages of lab values for the population as a whole. I know i can do this in excel but am just curious access is an easier, more reliable way. Any input would be appreciated.

    thanks

    Chris

Access is a relational database and is designed to do what you describe - manage data. In properly designed db, the statistics you describe can be generated with queries. Whether or not it's easier than Excel (which you already know) is a matter of perception.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
