    Degrading Form labels

The issue I am having is not critical but my database loses it's professional look. It seems that several text box labels start to degrade as I move through my records which looked normal when I opened the form. I don't know if this is an Access issue or something with my laptop. I have another database that I am working on and its forms are fine.

Here is a screen shot you can see the bottom two are degraded.
Thanks in advance for your help.

The screen shows the bottom two as bolded.

Have you tried this db on another machine?

The other db is fine on the same laptop?

I don't have any labels Bolded on my form. Originally my font was set to Ariel and with that font they started to change color a little. The current font is set to Calibri. I don't have another machine to test and yes the other database is on the same laptop.
I just changed the font back to Aerial so you can see what I mean.

They have the appearance of bolded, even though you don't have that setting. If you don't see that in another database with a form set up the same way - very odd.

If you want to provide db for testing on another machine, follow instructions at bottom of my post.

OK will do. I have the db broken into back end and front end so I guess you will need to fix the links.

Confirmed, it happens on my desktop PC. Never seen this.

Deleting a control and creating replacement made no difference.

I created a new form from the same query. Issue doesn't present. Can't replicate. You might just have to rebuild frm_ContractorList.

I've never seen this, personally, but it is reported frequently on Access forums/newsgroups, and is present through several versions. Here is a site with an explanation of the problem/solution; it apparently is associated with having ClearType enabled..

The suggestion from article to set the label BackStyle from Transparent to Normal did make a difference. Now set BackColor same as the Detail section. Beats rebuilding the form from scratch. Still no explanation for why this form is afflicted but that is the nature of intermittent bugs - no rhyme or reason.

Thank you all for the info and solution. I did exactly that @June7 set the backstyle to normal and the back color to the same as the background and it doesn't happen anymore. Thanks @Missinglinq for the link.
