    Report breaks and headers

    Hi,

I have a report that is grouped by student ID. Within the report the attendance for each class is given and grouped by a two week attendance period with averages for the two weeks printed and a final average for the entire number of class attended/offered.

I can get the student ID and name to print on successive pages. For the attached report there are three pages (of a total of over 300 hundred for the entire enrollment). The name only prints on the first.

Also there are occasions when the classes for a two week period are split over two pages.

Not major problems but I am interested in knowing how to fix them.

    Thanks and take care,

    Daryl

Not understanding the attachments. The report PDF shows multiple students listed under each attendance period, yet the report design shows grouping by student then subgroup of attendance period. Not understanding how this results in multiple students listed in the detail.

If you want to provide db for analysis, follow instructions at bottom of my post.

    Sorry,

The names diplayed are actually the faculty for each course, not the students. I would attached the DB but I am having problems compressing it sufficientlt.

    Take care,

    Daryl

Did you run Compact & Repair then zip the db? 2MB zip allowed.

Teacher names - that makes sense.

If you want something to show on every page, use Page Header/Footer.

    Thanks for the reply.

So as long as I put student name field in the page header it will always print the current student on the pages corresponding t that students records. I thought it might print the same student name on each page.

    Take care,

    Daryl

Ooops, no, forget that. Try the Group Section property RepeatSection instead.
