how to link fields on a form

im creating a workers database and iam a beginner in access.i have created one table and a form like with the following details


workers number ,name ,position attendancy and allowance so what i want is is i choose a workers number from the combo box all other details associated with the number should appear how do i do that? thanks for those who will help i am in afix

You should not be saving all that info to multiple tables. The method suggested by Paul is one way to display related info.

Set the date/time textbox DefaultValue property to: Now()

is access best to create a workers attendance database where i will need to update every day shift in shift out time i'm finding it difficult to come up with the whole system any one who can guide me on how to do it im newbee in database design and programming

Best is relative, but Access can certainly do it. I've created a couple of attendance applications with it.
