One more problem (for now) with Access 2010

I have a form with several tab pages on it. Everything worked fine until we recently switched from Access 2007 to 2010. Now when I open the form, the first tab is visible, but the name of the tab is gone, along with the name of the other tabs on the form, making it impossible to select a different tab page. Any idea what's causing this quirk?

By the way, the tabs and pages do show up in design view.

Never heard of such! I guess since you have a new installation of Access the first question has to be have you set the Folder(s) holding your databases as 'Trusted?' Another common problem, when upgrading, is whether you have References that haven't been set in the newer version of Access, but I can't see how that would be the culprit, here.

Next, what is on the Pages of the Tabbed Control? Do they contain Subforms? Do they contain Controls that are Bound to a single Recordset?

If a Form cannot have New Records added, and no Records exist in its Record Source, nothing shows...no Controls, no Labels, etc. I suppose this could be some version of that phenomenon, especially as they do show up in Design View. Perhaps during the upgrade to 2010 disrupted things and you no longer have Read-Write privileges to where the data resides.

And, of course, there is always the possibility of corruption.

BTW, you probably should change your profile to show either Access 2010 or Access 2007/2010.

Any chance you could create a sample db that exhibits the issue and post it?

Problem solved. I don't know why the tab names went away, but I added new tab pages, copied the textboxes over and deleted the original ones and all is working well. Just one of them gremlins in the system I guess.

Just the Access Gnomes having some fun! They do get bored from time to time, and stir up things just for the excitement!

    Glad you got it working!
