    Hi Guys,

My query won't allow me to add any data. I think this is to do with me linking the tables wrong. If I only have one of the 3 tables on the left linked to the table tbl_acident_scanario it works fine, but once I start adding other tables to be linked to it this is when it becomes updateable.

One 'Accident Scenario' can include multiple initiating events, multiple enabling events and multiple condition modifiers.

Any help is much appreciated, if you have any questions please ask.

    Kind Regards.

I think I've realised my own problem. There would not be one record for one accident scenario, they would be multiple, therefore making the query updatable? Would the correct method be to just have one link between the project and accident scenario, and just use sub reports for the separate tables in the main report?

If you use the query for a report then updatability is not an issue. However, including all these table in one query could distort the data, appearing to 'duplicate' or exclude records (because of INNER joins). So yes, subreports probably best.
