Form with combo box based on existing form field

Hi - I've been creating forms today and I've noticed that on most, I can create a combo box based on a field that is already on the form. Very handy. I've just tried it on a new form and I don't have that option - just the existing table / query or type in my own list. Does anyone know why it would be available on some forms and not on others? Thanks.

Are you using lookup fields on your tables?

When you create a new form, weather ir not it is bound or unbound, you can add a combobox control. You can add controls to your form by going the form design tools group and clicking the Design tab in your Ribbon. There you will see various controls you can add to your form.

If you do not see the control you are looking for, you can try to view additional controls by clicking the scroll down option on the right of the "Group". This "scroll" should be just above the pulldown to view options for ActiveX, Control WIzards, and DefControl Defaults.

Thank you. I was just curious why that option would be available on some forms and not others.
