Embedding (using OLE?) a Word Doc in Access 2010.

In Access 2003, to insert a word doc in a report, I selected Insert-->Object in order to embed a word doc.

Can anyone tell me if this can be done in 2010 and if so, how to do it?



It seems like everything I find on the web is related to doing this programatically, which I don't wish to do..

Well its not a great idea because Word isn't a passive image but rather a complex application unto itself. So trying to window another application inside an Access form isn't real coherent. Linking to an exterior application should be done using either the hyperlink field type or the Attachment field type....and then you rely on the inherent nature of windows to open that other application in another window.

This doesn't really answer your question though. The image icons for inserting are in the tool bar when your form is in design view - and so if you save your Word doc as a jpg let's say - - I think you'll find it works ok.
