    Recycling Code

I am using the prebuilt education database for student records, and am fond of the form format. I have more forms to create, but some of the buttons like Go To, Save and New, E-mail, etc. are far to complicated for me to create on my own. I don't know the language used, I do know Java, if that's an consolation. I want to know the steps in getting the code behind these buttons and replacing the variables with those which correspond to the new form. In Form Design, I used the convert from macro to code, but some of the methods look like call lines, no real code. Any help would be greatly appreciated

No way around it, you will have to learn VBA. What do you mean by 'call lines' - comments?

There are wizards to create the code for the buttons, depending on what you want to do....

Have you tried the wizards? I use the wizards to create the basic code (no pun intended), then add/modify if/as necessary (some of the wizard code leaves a lot to be desired).

Using the wizards is one way to learn some code structure but that is only part of the skill set you will need to effectively program a database. You will need to understand the generated code so that you can modify it. Steve is correct that the wizards can only do so much for you. I never did use them so never become dependent on them. Then you must know how to debug when errors occur. Refer to link at bottom of my post for guidelines on debug techniques.

Well, there is a form that is prebuilt. Those buttons have the code I need, and I thought I could just switch out the variables and source info

That's what I meant by understanding the code so you can modify it to suit situation. Maybe it is a simple 'switch out the variable and source info'. If you have a specific issue (like a run-time error) then describe it and provide code for analsyis.
