verify the ship-to mailing address fields in an Access table

Please recommend a reliable method to verify the ship-to mailing address fields in an Access table, before I batch export the addresses to stamps.com. If the ship to address is invalid, I need to update the “status” field to status “hold”. I do not know VBA, but I do know Access queries and macros.

Thank you very much in advance, Nathaniel

the address validity, would be determined by looking up the given address in an online directory.

Which online directory? I have no idea if that is even possible. Programming VBA to interact with web pages is not easy.
