Network error and Command Button error

Im using Access 2000 on Windows 7. I have service pack 1 for windows 7 and have previously had service pack 3.
I tried to create a database based on a DB I designed and have used for quite a long time. I want to use the same forms/queries/macros etc. I made a new DB and imported all my tables and forms etc using the 'Definition only' option, however on starting the DB I have a splash screen with no actions or commands attached to it but it wont let me add code to make my rectangle box move across the screen to reveal a text box which contains a message. When I try to add an Exit button or Continue button to logon using another form by using the command button wizard I get a message saying: Undefined function ‘AppLoadString’ in expression. When I press 'ok' the command button wizard activates to complete the action needed for the button. I'm also getting a lost network connection message on this form. I've searched for any code but cannot find any at all and I have compacted and repaired the DB but nothing seems to work. I also tried making another DB but only imported the first basic tables and the splash screen form and login form but still get same problems.

Can you post the zipped up 2nd DB so we could look at it?
