Split my database. However, when I try to make any changes on the front end it takes forever and sometimes will not allow a change at all, especailly in forms.

I have some very large and complex forms that take forever to edit. I just have to live with. If there is a subform then I don't edit subform from the main form because this is the slowest.

Are you talking about working on a copy of the Front End, on the development machine, or are you trying to work on a Front End sitting on a shared server?
Also, you have to keep in mind that, per your profile, you're working with AC 2010, but on a machine running an OS that a couple of versions out of date and probably running at speeds that were appropriate when WindowsXP came out, but probably very slow, now. I suspect that, like June7, you'll simply have to live with it, until you upgrade your system.
BTW, I hated having to finally give up WindowXP!

I should have pointed out I was referring to Access 2007 running on XP at work (my 2010 is at home on an XP laptop which just died this morning). I haven't tested editing on a Windows 7 yet. Guess I should try on one of our new computers.
