    Database Relationships

I am trying to create a database for Real Estate properties and I need to find a way to create a relationship where I could have one property that contains multiple units (the Units must stay attached to this property in any circumstance). I have a table called Property Info and another called Units. Does anyone know the most efficient way to do this? Do I need specfic keys or can I just use the IDs in each table?

    Thanks

There are fee data models at http://www.databaseanswers.org/data_...all_models.htm

Review some of those dealing with real estate.

a suggestion: Don't use a naming convention that allows spaces or special characters in field or object names.

I think the info at this link will help put many of the concepts in place.

    Good luck.

Thanks orange. This was very helpful. The first tutorial I read that simply explained relationships. The tutorial stopped short of explaining one-one relationships. I am assuming it is simple where you just link the primary keys. Giving one record that is attached to the originating primary key?

    Here's more info on relationships
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/4s9x13w7.aspx

Go back to the tutorial and use your own data, and see the relationships that evolve based on your rules/facts.
