Query Two tables based on common value

    Hi,

I'm officially out of my league when it comes to access. I'll attach the database since I'm sure I don't know what I'm talking about. I'm trying to query a records table that has a relationship with a buildings table. I simply can't get it to work and I have no idea why. All I want my query to do is show the records where client building is 201.

I think the issue is caused by having your lookup (combo box) in your table. Look at this:

    http://access.mvps.org/access/lookupfields.htm

Change the lookup to occur in your form and remove it from the table.. Then make sure that the table you use in your form for the lookup is part of the query and use the bound column in that table to set your criteria.
