Create totals with expressions in group and report footers.

    Why is subtracting an issue?

Why is removing empty field/label an issue?

Really need more details. Be specific in describing the issue you encounter.

Your request is too broad in scope. I can help with specific issues but trying to coach you through development of an entire database is not practical. What you described is a single table, not a relational database. If you do know basics then you should be able to build a basic database. Suggest you sit down with tutorials and get a better understanding of Access - what it is (and isn't), what it is capable of, and how to use its tools. First step is understanding relational database concepts and then defining your data entities and relationships.

Look at the 'sticky' thread tutorials on http://forums.aspfree.com/microsoft-access-help-18/

Not sure I understand what you want. Why is the field 'blank'?

Open report in design view, select and delete the controls.

there are fields which can be blank for some records, but i dont want that field (label) to be visible in report,
what you said is correct, but some record may have and some record may not have data ,,,so deleting the controls will not work,

i have placed the controls to can shrink which works fine, but label still visible ( i want to hide it if there is no data of it controls)

hope it makes sense to you! (iam poor in explaining)

    thanks

Why is this important? What's wrong with showing label when record does not have this data? Even if the label is not visible, it still occupies space on the report and this will show as empty area on report.
