Question Data entry through a split database. Possible via a cloud-shared back end?

    Hello experts.

I have a database I want to split. I have never done it before.
What I want is, for several people to enter data on the database from different computers and at the same time. However, the backend database must be stored on a shared "cloud" type of location: Dropbox or google drive.

    Is this possible?

Thing is, we could store the backend on a local network shared location, but some of our reps work from home, so the cloud-shared backend file should be the way to go.

Any tutorials on how to implement this are highly appreciated!
