About Access forms and subforms

I have a form with some fields. i want to group some other fields. so i'm using subform. in the subform i place some fields. when i enter the data in the fields main as well as subform. when i click on save button it gives error.

the changes you requested to the table were not successfull they would create duplicate values in the index,primary key................................

how to solve this error.

so what i am doing is delete the subform those fields will be copied to mainform it will work



i want to work with subform only how

Form/subform arrangement is intended for data entry to parent and child tables, not to the same table.

What you really might want is a tab control to arrange fields by 'groups'.
