    Registry keys

    Hello everyone
I am using packaging wizard for access 2007 to distribute an application, in which I am asked to fill registry keys. What are these registry keys for? Do I need to enter it or can I ignore it?

    many thanks

I've never packaged an application so not sure how registry keys apply. And if you don't know then probably not important to your app. Best I can figure, registry keys have a part in installation process that can modify registry file and control settings on a user computer. According to this article http://www.hitechcoach.com/index.php...=article&id=14 the use of VBA coding means need to 'add the folders used by your application to the trusted locations list'. Could be registry keys have something to do with this.

Couldn't find anything that clearly explained just how and when to use registry keys.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
