Personalised Emails from MS Access Database

Hi all,

I have an Access 2010 database with linked tables listing a bunch of institutions and then staff members and their details, including their email addresses. I need to be able to write emails in the future which will be sent out to all of these contacts, while automatically adjusting in order to have, for instance, 'Dear Mr. John Smith', according to the corresponding names in the database.


Does anyone know how I could do this, preferably without using code, as I have never used VBA before, but if this is the only way then I will give it a go.

In the appropriate table, add a field with the proper title. Dr. Mr. Ms. etc. Create a query to join the names to the titles. Use the query as the record source for your email which you will develop in the report writer.

Hi again,

I have already got titles down, so that is fine. However I don't know how to develop an email in the report writer, how would I go about doing that, and then sending all of them from my account?

Suggest you go to You Tube and search for Tutorial Email Report from Access. There are numerous presentations with all the details you will need. Step by step instruction here will fill up a page or so.
