    Display correct formatting on form.

One of my tables has a field for a number between 0 and 999,999. It's formatted as a number, and the thousands comma is automatically added. However, the text box on my form does not display the comma. Not a big deal, but the difference is annoying and aesthetically displeasing. Suggestions?

Formatting does not carry thru in access well sometimes.
    Types do OK.

Format the text box on your form.

In the "format" line for that field, I have #,### - this seemed to be the best way to do it.

That did it, thanks! I guess it's better to have the option to format things differently depending on where they exist in the database.

Access does a pretty good job of separating the storing and the displaying of data. I like it since they really are two different issues.

I agree, it makes a lot of sense.
