    My subform does not expand!

Hi to everyone. So i have an access 2010 db based on an order processing system.

The probelm is that on my order processing forms (quotation, order, invoice etc), the subform when i have the form view on is only showing 1 record or maybe too. I want the subform to expand based on how many records are in the subform. I have turned grow to YES but with no success. I have changed the height of subform, again nothing. What am i doing wrong?

When you go into Design View for the Form the Subform is based on, what is the Default View of the Form given as; Single, Continuous or Datasheet View?

It would really help if we knew whether it was showing 1 record or 'too.'

The CanGrow Property only works when a Form or Report is being Printed, not when it is simply viewed.

The default view is continuous forms. It shows 2 records. The problem is that the user needs to see the subform items and to not go each time with the arrows up and down to see one by one. Is there a way?

You're saying that in Datasheet View you're only seeing one Record in the Subform? Are you sure that there is more than one Record related to the Record in the Main Form?

You're only going to see the number of Records that the size of your Subform Control will allow, and you have it set to a very small size! The problem is that you're trying to crowd too much data into a finite screen area. The usual approach to over-crowded 'real-estate' is to use a Tabbed Control and place groups of related data on individual Pages of the Control.

Looking at your screen shot, I'd probably put everything except the Subform on Page 1 and then have the Subform on Page 2.

Can i set it to a bigger size? But why is it important if it's crowded if i want this only for the user to see it, when it will be printed it will cut it to pages. The problem is that i'm converting this to pdf, so the tabbed control will not help me.

You can go into Form Design View and re-size your Subform Control, however you want, but the larger you make it the less space you'll have for your "terms,' 'delivery time,' and related data.

I would try creating a Report, showing your data, then export it to a PDF file. Reports, unlike Forms, can utilize the CanGrow/CanShrink properties.
