    Can't save design changes

I am trying to change the column width on an unbound box. I make the change and then click the close "x" in the right corner. then when prompted select to save the changes. But then the design form does not close. I have to select "no" when prompted to save the changes in order to close the design form, but then that discards my changes. Anyone know how to get around this?

I have encountered this same problem. First of all, save then close. And this may be obvious but make sure there is no other table, query, form or report that accesses any information on that page.

It sounds like the database is corrupt. If compact and repair doesn't help, how about creating a new database and import everything in.

Compact and repair didn't work. Could I just build a new form just like that one and replace the corrupt form? Or would I need a whole new database?

You could build a new form. But a 'whole new database' isn't that bad of an option. You just create a blank database and import everything back in. And there is a chance that corrupted form will error out and not come into your new clean database. So you would need to build it over again anyway.

I don't understand why forms get corrupt. But I feel I get a fresher start when I import into a new database.

Does this only happen when changing the column widths? What happens when you change something unrelated to that unbound box?
