    Crosstab?

    Hello,

I would like to know if there is a way to do this.

I have a table set up like this

    recordid class additional class

some records will show up like this below:
    12345 Skysurfing Bowling
    12345 Skysurfing Crochet

Is there a way to make a view that displays it like so:

    12345 Skysurfing Bowling Crochet

How many classes are involved? If only a few, this technique might work for you http://datapigtechnologies.com/flashfiles/crosstab.html

Other methods will involve VBA. Such as shown in http://allenbrowne.com/func-concat.html
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

I dont know if the first method will work. The second gives me I am unsure either. I am trying the second currently. Is this sort of thing doable as a query?

    recordid class adclass adclass
    12345 Skysurfing Bowling Crochet

to make things more complicated i would neeed to do it again. The same table also tracks minors...

    So you could have
    recordid class minors
    12345 Skysurfing Reading
    12345 Skysurfing Gum Chewing

Would i need a query to break these pieces out?

I have given you references to methods I think can be applied to your situation. One of them is a query that does not involve code. If there are too many classes and minors then the query won't be practical. VBA code will be required. Here is another VBA technique. This one involves use of a 'temp' table. http://forums.aspfree.com/microsoft-...ry-322123.html
