    Question Access runtime on CD?

    Hello,

I'm working on a database that's going to be distributed on CD (yeah, I know). Is it possible to run Access 2007 (the runtime) directly from the CD or does the user have to install it manually? I think it was possible with earlier versions (?).

Any Access programs canot be run from a cd. The reason being is when Access opens the mdb it creates an ldb locking file in the current project path. As cd/dvds need files to be "Burnt" to the disc the ldb file cannot be created/deleted.
