Numbers pop up when I merge my Access DB form info

I have created a Form in Access with a few drop downs to look up info easier.
But when I try to merge theinfo into MS Word, Numbers come up in my field instead of the info.
The numbers are the ID (Key) from the table, Why isn't the info showing up?
this is driving me crazy,. I have watched Tuts on Y.Tube but none address this problem.
