Access 2003 calls installer on startup

I recently installed Visual C# 2010, then decided I didn't really need it and uninstalled. Not easy, as MS declined to add an uninstall utility and I had to remove several entries in the Programs section of the Control Panel. Anyway, ever since I first installed VC# Express 2010, whenever I start Access 2003 it apparently calls the Windows installer which then attempts to install Visual Studio 2005 and asks me where it can find vs_setup.msi. I don't have that as the file downloaded from MS was vcs.exe, not vc_setup.msi. How can I stop Access calling the unavailable VC# installer, please? It's very irritating having to click on Cancel buttons several times before my database will appear.

Just reinstalled the entire Office 2003. Seems to have done the trick. I hope.
