Exclamation One selection force another selection

I am learning how to use Microsoft Access, so any help is greatly appreciated.

I want to allow the user to select a site which in turn will allow them to select a room within that specific site. I'm not sure how to organize the information...whether I need two separate tables, one table with two fields, or how I need to relate the data.

    Example:

    Site 1 has rooms 3, 4, 5, & Office.
    Site 2 has rooms 1, 2, 6 & Storage.
    Site 3 has rooms 8, 9, 10, Office 1 & Office 2.

If the user chooses "site 1" then they are called to select a room contained within site 1.

The form would have two sections: Site & Room The user would have to select the site and then choose the room.

    Please help! Thanks!

    The two normal methods here:

    Baldy-Cascading Combos

I would probably have one table with fields for site and room, but I don't know all the facts.

I agree with baldy about the table, as for the form, I need to know something. Basically what I got from what you said was that in your form you will have a section, lets call it a dropdown list. In this list there will be all of the different sites which will be gotten from the sites field of the table which this form is based on. Next, when a certain site is chosen, another dropdown list appears which basically lists the different rooms for the site. You didn't mention what you wanted to happen when someone chooses a room from a site but I don't think it's that important. Anyways before i can help, I'll need clarification first.

What I am trying to do is part of an inventory/asset database. Equipment is at a site in different rooms. The Excel spreadsheet looks something like this:

Asset Tag; Description; Site; Room; Room Type; Employee

I want to be able to choose a site from a dropdown menu, then be able to choose the room from a dropdown menu (that only includes rooms from the specific site I chose). If I can get this resolved, I would then like the room type to automatically appear when the room is chosen.
