    Importing URLs from Excel

I have successfully imported many URL's from Excel into an Access field that was set as a hyperlink field.

However, when I click on that URL in the Access form.. it goes nowhere.

Alternatively, if I manually type the URL into the same field, when I click on the URL it opens a browser window and goes to the correct URL.

Why does it make a difference between imported URL's and manually typed URL's?

I must be doing something wrong. What... and more importantly, how can I correct it.

    Thanks

    Tom

Last time I saw a thread with this same question the conclusion was that the hyperlink will not import as a hyperlink. This thread discusses that export to htm file first then import the htm to Access allowed the hyperlink to work. I haven't tested, but if you want to http://windowssecrets.com/forums/sho...el-into-Access
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
