Need help with a new database

    Hi,

I am using MS Access 2003. I have made a database consisting of a back end and a front end (using database splitting). Now what I want is to store all the data in the back end just by a button click in from the forms.

I want to know how to go about it. I donot know anything what to do.

    Pl help...

    Thanks in advance

    Hoping for an early reply...

If the database is split correctly, the tables the forms are based on should store the data automatically. You should not need to press anything except maybe move forward a record so the last record is saved.

hey I tried doing the splitting the other way, but still I face the same problem....when I fill in up the form, I don't get the tables updated automatically.

How shall I go about it?

You can open the 'linked table manager' to check if the tables (back end) are correctly linked to the queries, forms etc (front end)
Ensure the linked tables are highlighted and check the option for 'always prompt for new location' - this will make access ask you where the tables are.
    Please see attached images.
