    Searching registers

    HelloĦ

    I´m a noob using ACCESS.
I´m building a simple database similar to this:

    Table 1

    Student School Grade Subject

    Peter London 3.5 Maths
    John Bristol 2.7 English
    ............................
    ........................

    Table 2

School Address Phone number Test day

    London Queen´s Park 555 549 307 07/4/2011
    Bristol Elizabeth road 555 544 444 9/9/2011
    ..................

    And several more registers.

    I´ve a couple of questions:

    1) I´ve a form where I´ve the data of table 2 (Schools), the point is I want a list, to select the name of the school (Also I would like to write 2 or 3 letter only and then the name of the school should appear)and get the other data.
I´ve tried to use a list box, but no results...

    2) This is really a difficult thing, I´m trying to implement a calendar in a form, where I can make notes. Can I do this??? I tried with Access Calendar App but it´s really old fashioned....

    ThanksĦĦĦ

Your first question: Why not a combo box?

    I´ve a couple of questions:

    1) I´ve a form where I´ve the data of table 2 (Schools), the point is I want a list, to select the name of the school (Also I would like to write 2 or 3 letter only and then the name of the school should appear)and get the other data.

    2) This is really a difficult thing, I´m trying to implement a calendar in a form, where I can make notes. Can I do this??? I tried with Access Calendar App but it´s really old fashioned....
Second question: not enough info. Sounds as if you have a set format and functionality in mind, but don't know how to make it happen.

    Problem 1 solved.
The Calendar I'm using is an Activex Control called Calendar Control 11.0 .
The problem is that I can select only one date, and I need to select a range of dates. That is have a start date and a finish date, also I would like to select half days....
DO you now another calendar app that I can download and use with Access?
I' ve found this http://allenbrowne.com/ser-51.html , but I still need something more powerful.

    Thanks

    Hello,
I've been able to find a calendar made in JavaScript, can I use it in ACCESS?

    Thanks.

If you can convert it to VBA. I don't have any resources to help you.
