    bar on form screen

I have a form that has a bar down the left side of my form that is right next to the navaigation bar. It has a arrow pointing toward the form. If I click on it nothing happens. Don't know what it is and would like to get rid of it if possible.
    Thanks
    Everette

    • Open the Form in Design View.
    • Display the Form's Property Sheet (F4 or Alt+Enter).
    • Find the Property item with the name: Record Selectors.
    • Change the current value settingYesto No.
    • Save the Form and open it in Normal View.

If the bar now disappeared, then you have turned off the Record Selector control.

The common use of this control is to select the current record for deletion or to copy the record and paste the full record into a new record. If the new record has only few changes then this is an easy way to create a new record.

To delete the current record you can click on this control to select it and press delete key. A warning message will ask for confirmation before physically removing the record from the table.
