    new database

I am trying to build a data base for my school. I have bought books and read and I still cannot understand how to design this data base. I know what I want it to look like and do, but I can't seem to get it to work that way. Any suggestions?

Read some more. Check out the 'sticky' thread tutorials here http://forums.aspfree.com/microsoft-access-help-18/

What do you want this db to keep track of? Give us something to analyse. Show your schema or attach project.

We have a demerit system for the students. I want tables for students, faculty and infractions. I would like to be able to create a report that teachers can have drop down menus for each of these to enter in the database. I can create these tables easy enough but getting the relationships to work properly is tough.

First of all, reports are not used for data entry, forms are.

Second, if you want help, need to provide what was requested.

Check out the template databases for Faculty and Students that are provided with Access.
