Creating a query not between 2 date fields

Hello fellow access guru's im very new to access with only 1 week of training trying to finish off my database with this last query. I have two fields named date_to and date_from, within a table tbl_non_avail . I need to show people who are available not between the from and to dates. Any idea's are truely appreciated and any suggestions welcome. Thanks

Contain values that fall outside a range
    <#2/2/2006# or >#2/4/2006#

Returns records where the transactions took place before Feb 2, 2006 or after Feb 4, 2006.
