Change Name of field within Query

Here is a very simple field I am trying to run within a query.

    Picklist1: [862 PicklistA]![MaxOfPicklist]

Why, when I change the name just to Picklist (without the 1) do I show no records?

It would appear that Picklist is already a field in your Table.

Access has created an alias [MaxOfPicklist] based on your request to do a Max(Picklist), which indicates there already is a field called Picklist in your table [862 PicklistA].

Also, you should be aware there it is NOT good practice to have embedded spaces or special characters in field and Object names.
