Query By Form Problem

Hi, Please can someone help,



I am creating a database for voluntary groups that i am using 'query by form' so users can select the group type then this will take them to a form filtered with only that type of group showing. On this form i would like a combo box so users can select which record they would like to look at within the filtered selection.

The problem is that when you click the combo box it looks at the query again and brings up the Access 'Enter Parameter Value' box.

Is there any way to set this to only look at the records that have already been filtered and therefore not bring up this parameter value box??

Any help would be highly appreciated.

I would just like to add that this works with a list box but not a combo box, it must be the way that the combo box updates when it is clicked. Unfortunately a list box will not work for my database needs.

I managed to solve this problem on my own. The problem was (if anyone wanted to know) that i asked the query to close after submit so the form that opened couldn't get the data from it. I solved it my just getting it to minimize instead.
