    Query help please

    Hi All

I'm hoping that somebody on here may be able to help as I will be honest, once i run out of wizard options i'm kinda stuffed.

So if i may, my question is:

I have 3 columns in a table named; Opening Time / Closing Time / Total.
These columns have been formatted to short date and an input validation has been stored.

So the problem is, Say, Opening Time declared 08:00 (which is user defined) and Closing Time (also user defined) declares 16:00 how do i get the Total box to show "8hrs" etc ...

    My thanks in advance.

The purists will says you shouldn't have a third column; one of the values may be derived knowing the other two.

But to answer your question read up on the DateDiff function in Access on-line help.

If you need help defining an update query to parse your table and reset the duration, then post back.
