    Tabular format of a Report

    Hi forum.

I need to generate a report that show data in a table. well the report is being generated perfectly but the requirement is that the records should show in a grid. i hacked by using small vertical lines in the detail section which give a tabular feeling to the report but...the lines arent aligned and give a very shabby look to report.

help is requested and appreciated in advance.

You want it to look like cells in a spreadsheet (I have heard that studies have shown that a grid format makes harder for readers to assimilate/comprehend/retain what they are reading) or just want vertical line? Why don't the lines align? I have done this with success.

I tried the steps outlined in second article but could not find the border options
You can control line length programatically, I have done this
