We are a small business using a shared server. We are thinking of upgrading 3 of our computers to Access 2007 and leaving the rest running Access 2003.
1. We will be using databases that were built in Access 2003 so I need to make sure that these can be opened and data will be viewed and updated using both 2003 and 2007.
2. We will want to create queries (using Access 2007) into databases that were built with Access 2003. We will need to use these queries in Access 2003 and 2007. Will this work?
3. We will want to pull data from spreadsheets built in Excel 2003. Can we do this with Access 2007 and will this still be compatible with the 2003 version?
4. We may want to make changes to the design of some databases that were built with Access 2003. Do we have to be sure to save this in the 2003 compatible format? What will we lose by saving in the 2003 format.
