    Question Compare (26) Queries

    Hi Folks! :-)

In an external Software there are 26 different "User Groups" with different authorities defined.
I picture these authorities in an Access 2010 DB in 26 Queries (1 Query per User Group), which only contain one column with various "Rights Numbers".

I wanna reduce the number of User Groups and so my plan is to compare each Query with any other to find out which User Groups are similar.
With 26 Queries the number of comparisons would be 325(!), which is too much to do it manually.

Is there any (free) tool out there which is suitable for that task? Or does anyone has an idea what I could do?

Thank you very much in advance,
    Markus

There should be a way to get what you want without going nuts with queries.

First you just need a list of valid 'rights numbers'. As in all that are currently in your database. Once you have that you can link in each one of your 'groups' via the right number and each column will represent a different 'group'.

What are you trying to determine - which users are in each group to find identical/near identical groups?
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
