Hi everyone,
I'm running Access 2003 under Windows 7. I have a requirement to do comparisons within VBA code of single "special" characters that are defined in a table. I'm using Option Compare Binary in the relevant module. My question is this:
Is it safe to use characters outside the extended ASCII character set, i.e. that can be keyed by pressing the Alt key and entering a three-digit code greater than 255 via the numeric keys at the right of the keyboard? Examples of these would be ALT + 256 and ALT + 257, which are upper-case "A" and lower-case "a" with a bar over the top. I can't actually reproduce the characters in that way here, but they can certainly be keyed into an Access table. With binary comparison enabled, will Access treat all such characters as unique?
Thanks in advance for any info!
