Opening files from hyperlink

Hi all,

In my database form I have a field containing a hyperlink to a certain media file that is stored on my local hard disk. When I click the hyperlink from a form, my player starts playing the media file. But before it starts my media player, I get the pop up asking if I want to open the file the hyperlink is referring to. How do I prevent the popup to appear (or accept automatically)?

Personally I never use hyperlink datatype. I store file paths as text and use this code which opens any link in the default program.

I chose to use the ActiveX control for WMP non visible. Works fine, but thanks for answering my question!
