    A little help, please.

I am relatively new to using Access and I would appreciate anyone willing to offer advice.

I am using one table. It's a basic system using a few forms. My problem is with retaining the ID field. The ID field automatically assigns the record a number. I enter information into all of the fields of this record and then there is a boolean field at the end of which IF checked then another form opens to enter additional information into the same table.

I want to retain this ID field into the next form so all information is entered into the same record.

If anyone could help me with this I would be extremely grateful.

Also, I am using Microsoft Access 2010.

As long as the record is saved, you can use this technique:

You might also consider just using one form, with a tab control to organize the fields appropriately.
